Duksung Women's University Founded in 1920 by Cha Mirisa, an activist in the independence movement, it is one of the most highly regarded universities in Korea. With two campuses in Seoul, the university has about 7,600 students, 550 faculty members, 120 staff members, and 19 graduate schools in 7 departments. Duksung is involved in various international exchanges with 50 universities in 17 different countries. Semyung University Semyung University currently has 8,640 students and 305 graduate students. Facilities include the Institute of Continuing Education, Electronic Computing Center, Student Life Center, Editorial Broadcast Station, Student Life Institute, Women's Student Life Institute, Health Clinic and the Cental Library. The Institute of Continuing Education was established in 1999 and has produced 2,598 graduates over the past seven years. The basic goal of the institute is to provide the general public with high-level academic and cultural learning opportunities. To date, the school has mobilized its highly qualified experts to meet the needs of the local community in a variety of fields, including cooking classes, yoga, foreign languages, computer technology, sports, and real estate auctions. In the future, we plan to expand the scope of the program from technical and clerical fields to include cultural fields where philosophical and historical discussions of modern society are held. The Central "Minsong" Library was newly built in 1998 as an ultra-modern building with a total floor space of 11,500 square meters (1 basement and 5 floors above ground). The library is equipped with reading rooms, periodicals rooms, seminar rooms, and various convenience facilities to make it more comfortable and convenient for users. The Minsong Library has 2,000 reading rooms and more than 350,000 books, and is equipped with a 622 Mbps super high-speed fiber optic internet connection. The library is also equipped with an audio-visual resource room to foster language skills and provide a resting space for users. In addition, for the development of the local community, the library and reading room are open to local residents, and it is said to be the best university library in the central region as a source of information technology on campus and in the community. The computer center is equipped with the latest computer equipment and has built a comprehensive university information system based on the Gigabit Backbone Campus Network system, which performs the core functions of university informatization, including students' university life, computer education, teaching and research activities, and administrative computer processing. In order to fulfill the role of a social leader, which is the vocation of a university in the information age, Semyung University has realized the "construction of a cyber campus" by operating a comprehensive portal in the university and supporting cyber lectures. The university also actively uses its computer technology and facilities to support various events. The Student Life Center is a student dormitory network that aims to accommodate all students who wish to live on campus. Currently, there are five dormitories that can accommodate 1,316 male students and 740 female students, and an additional modern dormitory that can accommodate 530 male students is under construction. The dormitories are equipped with personal facilities to provide a convenient and comfortable living space, and an English Zone (English conversation room) is also available for students to improve their English conversation skills. The Editorial Broadcasting Department contributes to the practice of the founding principles of Semyung University and the cultivation of a proper university culture by publishing educational broadcasts and the Semyung News Magazine, not to mention the development of a sound academic culture and the cultivation of a campus community, as well as the prompt and accurate reporting of news and events both inside and outside the university. As a department that provides information on employment and part-time jobs to current students and graduates, the Employment News Department quickly and accurately disseminates employment information, provides consultation to students who are eligible for employment, and provides all the information necessary for employment so that they can make the best decisions for their careers. The Institute for Student Life is a service organization that provides counseling on various problems that students experience in the course of their college life and helps them to solve them, and also works to make their college life more fulfilling and enriching through surveys and research activities. The Institute for Women's Student Life conducts research on all aspects of women's lives, develops career paths for women students, operates counseling services and an abuse hotline, and operates a women's alumni association and a relationship and counseling program for women students before and after graduation. The Health Clinic provides health counseling and health evaluations for students and faculty members through medical examinations by professors from the Oriental Medicine Hospital and the Department of Oriental Medicine attached to the school.
