It has been reported that the enzymatic activity of HIF-prolyl hydroxylases, PHDs, depends upon oxygen concentration, and regulates cellular hypoxic responses. My interest is how the activity of PHDs is modified by several factors involved in other stress responses, such as endoplasmic reticular (ER) or osmotic stress.
