The program was conducted in February 2021（Reiwa3rd）. The purpose of the program is twofold: a）to facilitate the transition into higher education; and b）to maintain the learning motivation. We conducted the program in two parts. In the first part, we explained the difference between high school and university focusing on "Reaso ns to study" , "What to learn" , "How to spend time" so that freshmen can easily transit into higher education. In the second part, we explained the characteristics of studying at universities. In addition, we gave an outline of the lectures and the seminars at Josai University so freshmen can maintain their learning motivation. At the end of the program, attendees answered a web survey. The results are as follows. Many freshmen understood the difference between high school and university. Therefore, it is presumed that the pre-admission program had a positive effect on facilitating the transition into higher education. On the other hand, based on answers regarding the questions in the second part and the free-form answers, there were a certain number of freshmen who found it difficult to keep up with lectures and seminars on business administration.
