Educational Objectives Providing practical education related to life sciences, food production, environmental sciences, and social sciences. Developing the ability to integrate knowledge across a wide range of subjects as well as problem discovery and problem-solving skills. Nurturing individuals who can think globally to create relatively richer, more sustainable societies. Developing science so that society can achieve sustainable coexistence with nature and people responsible for the future of mankind The Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences teaches students intent on meeting community needs for new developments in agricultural sciences, social sciences and sustainable prosperity in local communities. This department was created in April 2012 as an integration of natural and social sciences to provide relatively broader education that decreases the number of barriers between sciences and arts to foster student awareness, interest, and ability for resolving relatively greater problems in society that is intent on equitably coexisting with nature. The curriculum in this faculty features much coursework with labs, training, and hands-on work. Moreover, three departments in natural sciences enable students to study advanced specialized technologies in biotechnology, food, and agriculture as well as technology for surveying and management of natural environments. The social science department enables students to gain specialized knowledge (such as on distribution economics, business, government administration, and urban planning) related to the management of local communities.
