(Updated February 1, 2024) The University's Exemption System 1. Tuition Fee Exemption, Enrollment Fee Exemption/DefermentKyushu University offers a tuition and enrollment fee exemption (deferment) system for students facing financial difficulties, having exceptional academic performance, or dealing with special circumstances that prevent them from paying their fees. The exemption amounts are either full, half, or one-fourth of the total fees. This is referred to as the "original system." To learn more about eligibility and requirements, please refer to the "Apprication Guidebook" provided below. 2. Emergency Tuition Fee Exemption This system provides an emergency exemption of tuition fees to students whose household finances have a sudden financial situation change due to the impact of COVID-19. The exemption amount can be full, half, or one-fourth of the tuition fee. For more information on eligibility and other requirements, please refer to the "Application Guidelines for Emergency Tuition Fee Exemption, Spring semester of 2024" provided below.
